Tourist Visa
The Australian visitor visa is a short-term visa that lets you go to Australia for business or pleasure. Anyone from any country can join.
With this short-term visa, you can visit family or friends.
You can go there as a tourist.
You have up to 3 months to study.
Spend 3, 6, or 12 months in Australia.
Basic Criteria
• He or she must be a real temporary entrant.
• He or she must have enough money to stay in Australia.
• Could be onshore or offshore
• Must be in the best interest of the applicant who is under 18
• Must have the right kind of character
• Health requirements must be met (if applicable)
Different types of tourist visas could be used, depending on what the applicant needs.
Tourist Flow (apply onshore) Starting at AUD 380
Applicants can stay for up to a year.
1 Go see family and friends, go on a cruise, or take a vacation.
2 This visa might work for you if you have another visa that is about to expire and you want to stay longer.
3 You have to be on land when you apply and when the Department of Home Affairs (Doha) decides on your request.
Tourist Flow (apply offshore)
Starting at AUD 150
1 The person who wants to stay can do so for 3, 6, or 12 months.
2 Go see family and friends, go on a cruise, or take a vacation.
3 You have to be outside of the country when you apply and when Doha decides on your visa.

1 An eligible family member who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident must sponsor you.
2 Doha could request that your sponsor pay a security bond.

Stream of Business Visitors

1 You can go there for a short time as a business visitor, but you can’t work or sell anything.
2 Doha might let you enter Australia once or many times while the visa is still valid.
3 You have to be outside of Australia when you apply for your visa and when Doha decides on it.
Status Stream for Approved Destination
Starting at AUD 150
1 This visa lets people from the People’s Republic of China (but not from the SARs) visit Australia as part of a group tour.
2 You have to stay with the group on the tour.
Stream of Frequent Travelers
Starting at AUD 1120
1 Doha could give a period of validity of up to 10 years.
2 You must have a passport from the People’s Republic of China (excluding SARs).
3 In the People’s Republic of China, you have to give biometrics before you can apply
